Connections Overview
Authorize, select, sync, manage, reconnect, and troubleshoot Marcenta data sources.
Connections controls the external systems that supply Marcenta with advertising, analytics, CRM, routing, and call data. A connection belongs to the active Marcenta workspace.
Supported sources
| Category | Available sources | Common downstream uses |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising | Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads | Reports, incidents, workflows, and account analysis |
| Web analytics and search | Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console | Reports and incidents |
| CRM and revenue | HubSpot, Salesforce | Reports; Salesforce can also support lead routing and meeting writeback |
| Sales calls | Apollo | Call recording import and SDR Call Intelligence |
Sources displayed as coming soon are not available for production setup until their connection action is enabled.
Who should connect a source
Use a dedicated provider user where your organization's policy permits it. The person completing authorization must:
- be a member of the intended Marcenta workspace;
- have provider access to the account, property, portal, or objects being selected;
- be allowed by their organization to grant the requested access; and
- remain available to reconnect if access or credentials change.
Provider administrator status is not universally required. The exact requirement depends on the provider, its security policies, and the requested resource permissions described on each connector page.
Connect a source
- Open Connections in the intended workspace.
- Choose the provider.
- Review the requested access and start authorization.
- Sign in directly with the provider, or enter the API key for Apollo.
- Select the provider resource when prompted.
- Complete setup and wait for the initial import.
OAuth authorization and resource selection are separate steps. A successful provider sign-in does not mean setup is complete if an account, property, portal, or history window still needs to be selected.
Connection states
| State | Meaning | Recommended action |
|---|---|---|
| Connected | The connection is configured for normal use | Review its latest sync time and downstream data |
| Syncing | An import is in progress | Allow it to finish before starting another history job |
| Needs attention | Authorization, configuration, or a sync failed | Open the connection and review the visible error |
An initial sync can finish before downstream detection, transcription, analysis, or routing-directory preparation completes.
Manage a connection
The management page can provide the following actions, depending on provider:
- sync recent data;
- import a preset or custom historical period;
- change the selected account or property;
- refresh a provider directory;
- reconnect authorization or rotate a key;
- rename the connection; and
- disconnect it.
Avoid overlapping historical imports. Start with the smallest period needed, verify its result, then extend history if required.
Connector limits
The Connections page displays usage against the current workspace allowance.
| Plan | Included active connections |
|---|---|
| Launch | 1 |
| Accelerate | 3 |
| Orbit | Unlimited |
An organization-specific override can change the displayed limit. Each active provider resource counts according to the usage shown in the product.
Reconnect or disconnect
Reconnect the existing connection after an authorization is revoked, a provider password or policy changes, or the authorizing user loses required access. Reconnecting is usually preferable to creating a duplicate.
Disconnecting stops future imports and removes the connection's stored authorization. It does not guarantee that previously imported Marcenta data or derived records are immediately deleted. Confirm the effect on reports, incidents, routing, calls, workflows, and retention requirements before disconnecting.
Security practices
- Complete authorization only on the provider's genuine sign-in page.
- Grant access to the narrowest suitable provider account.
- Do not share API keys, tokens, authorization codes, or private callback links.
- Remove access promptly when the authorizing user leaves or changes role.
- Review source permissions periodically in both Marcenta and the provider.
General troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| No provider resources appear | Confirm the signed-in provider user can access them directly |
| Authorization succeeds but setup is incomplete | Return to Marcenta and finish resource selection |
| A sync fails after previously working | Check provider access, account status, authorization revocation, and the displayed error |
| Recent data is absent | Confirm the latest sync, selected resource, date range, and provider processing delay |
| Historical data is incomplete | Run an appropriate history import and allow downstream processing to finish |
| The connector limit is reached | Disconnect an unused source or review the workspace plan and overrides |
Never paste provider passwords, API keys, OAuth tokens, or authorization codes into documentation, chat, tickets, screenshots, or browser developer tools shared with others.
